Does Your Gratefulness Jeopardize Your Business?

Please and Thank-you

Using "please" and "thank you" was part of the way you were brought up. Your parents were right when they told you you would get a lot further in life that way. They never thought it could be turned against you.

Have you ever been inquisitive enough to read the testimonials that are displayed in almost all sales letter? No? You should. They are meant to help you to make your mind up. Read them carefully, and they will help you in a way you did not expect. You may save a lot.

How is it that someone needs the knowledge he is supposed to master and be able to teach? When you are the manager of a website whose name tells that you sell expertise on, for example, "how to drive massive amount of traffic to your website", you should not be found writing, almost in tears, how thankful you feel for the information you have just read, or watched, about how to drive traffic to your website. There is something wrong in the picture.

Would you trust a doctor who would have set up in practice before having studied medicine? I would not. Why would I jeopardize my financial health?

Imagine: as you are filling a check to purchase some guru's product that is supposed to fulfill your wildest dreams, you happen to read the thanking words this guru addresses to another guru for a similar product. If you are not a complete moron, you are going to purchase the similar product. "Always go straight to the top."

Some of these grateful testimonials appear to be so destructive to their authors that I sometimes wonder if they appear by chance, or if they are parts of the Professional Avenger's methods. I suspect that some tributes displayed at the bottom of blogs do not come from the persons who endorse them. At once, they read harmless, but threat to prove damaging in the long term. Of course, the fact that some people are stupid enough to prepare their own failure is not to be dismissed.

The most surprising is that there are people, and I mean marketers! Who leave comments on blogs that do not even pay them with a link. They add fresh content to someone else's blog out of kindness. I am impressed.

For some reasons, my own comments are often vaporized before they touch ground.
